Qamar – Spherical Sculpture Vase “Moon” – Dar al Fannan
Qamar – Spherical Sculpture Vase “Moon” – Dar al Fannan
The silent radiance of a full moon.
Qamar is a sculptural vase from the Dar al Fannan collection, distinguished by its perfectly spherical form. Its name means “Moon”, evoking the quiet, magnetic beauty of the lunar body as it appears low on the horizon.
Departing from traditional nocturnal palettes, Qamar explores a distinctive range of tones that gently transition from golden yellow at the crown to moss and olive green at the base. Across this enveloping curved surface unfolds a continuous landscape: solitary trees and small groves emerge in diffused light, creating a suspended, dreamlike atmosphere.
Entirely handcrafted and hand-painted, each vase is a unique piece. Lines, chromatic nuances and decorative rhythms may vary subtly from one example to another. The vase you receive will preserve the same aesthetic language, colour palette and artisanal quality shown in the images, while expressing its own individual character.
Its pure geometry gives Qamar a strong visual presence. More than a vase, it is a small celestial body to be placed on a table or bookshelf, capable of bringing light and a sense of natural harmony into the space.
