Raqsa – Asymmetrical Sculpture Vase “Dance” – Dar al Fannan
Raqsa – Asymmetrical Sculpture Vase “Dance” – Dar al Fannan
The movement of dance captured in ceramic.
Raqsa belongs to the refined floral series by Dar al Fannan. Its name means “Dance”, and its asymmetrical, fluid form appears to move through space, recalling the fold of a flowing garment or the graceful gesture of a dancer.
The velvety white surface is adorned with delicate hand-painted floral arabesques in tones of gold and green, following the curves of the vase and enhancing its sense of motion. The irregular upper rim adds a further note of uniqueness and artisanal character.
Entirely handcrafted and hand-painted, each vase is a unique piece. Lines, nuances and decorative rhythms may vary subtly from one example to another. The vase you receive will reflect the same aesthetic language, colour palette and craftsmanship shown in the images, while expressing its own individual personality.
Raqsa introduces lightness and refinement into any setting, and may be displayed on its own as a small sculptural presence or combined with other works from the white series.
