Tala is among the most majestic works in the Dar al Fannan collection. Its name evokes growth, rootedness and vertical ascent—qualities powerfully expressed by this monumental vase, standing an impressive 41 cm tall.

The cylindrical form gently opens toward the top, like the corolla of a flower, offering a broad pictorial surface for the painted landscape. Slender, elongated trees—reminiscent of cypresses or poplars—reach upward along the rim, accompanied by a tree with a fuller, rounded crown. The composition is bathed in soft, diffused light, warmed by a small sun resting on the horizon.

Entirely handcrafted and hand-painted, each vase is a unique piece. Lines, tonal transitions and decorative rhythms may vary subtly from one example to another.
