In this vertical composition, the painted mark emerges as an essential and concentrated presence — a nucleus of energy that seems to condense matter, light, and movement into a single gesture. The central form, built through layered chromatic and material textures, rises like a primordial apparition: a living trace surfacing from the luminous background, crossed by warm veils and golden drips.

The contrast between the grey-silver lateral area and the intensity of yellows and oranges creates a visual tension that amplifies the sense of birth and revelation. The mark becomes origin, an initial spark, a point of concentration from which everything can expand.

While possessing a strong expressive autonomy, the work is conceived to dialogue with Two Points and The Center. Together they form the painterly trio The Four Seasons, a cycle exploring time as continuous transformation and the silent rhythm of natural change. Displayed individually it suggests a primordial moment; displayed together, the works reveal a dynamic balance that echoes the cyclical flow of the seasons.

The work lives through the contrast between the relatively smooth, luminous yellow surface and the extreme roughness of the vertical material structure. This textured “column” is built through thick layers of pigment and inert materials, creating an almost sculptural effect with cracks and sedimentations in tones of earth, fire, and charcoal. The grey area in the upper left adds a further tactile dimension, reminiscent of raw plaster.
